BDOP DTO-40 Carbon Disc Tubeless 12 spd Wheel Set with SP Dynamo Hub. BDOP are a Taiwanese based company that work as an OEM and ODM source for companies of various sizes - they're a true middleman in every traditional sense of the word. They're the connection between a Western company who wants a product made in Taiwan, and the factories that will be making it.

The DTO-40 is a toroidal shaped rim that is tubeless compatible with deep center channel and no rim brake track, that BDOP have designed and produced themselves using their existing factory contacts and relationships. The front wheel is tubeless compatible already wrapped in Tesa tubeless tape and is built around a Shutter Precision 6-bolt disc 15 x 100 mm axle Dynamo hub using DT Swiss Revolution black spokes. The spokes are cold-forged stainless chrome nickel steel, double butted to 2.0mm x 1.5mm x 2.0mm for an extra weight advantage whilst not compromising on strength. The Revolution is lighter and more flexible than the DT Competition and perfectly suited for high-quality, durable and lightweight wheels. The Shutter Precision dynamo hub is in my opinion the best on the market. The hub is disc compatible and is the newer version with the upgraded wheel bearings.

Adaptors can be bought cheaply (not supplied) to reduce axle diameter from 15mm to 12/10mm thru axle or even 9mm QR if required. The rear wheel is also tubeless and wrapped in Tesa tubeless tape, and is compatible with both 12 x 135mm (SCS) axle widths and 12 x 142mm axle widths. The SCS axle standard is a Specialized standard used on the original Diverge model gravel bikes. That makes this wheel set unique in being compatible with these two axle widths. The spacer is provided for use with 142mm axle which is also supplied.

Please note that the rear wheel may need to be redished to suit a frame with 142mm axle width. It's currently set up for 135mm SCS. Redishing involves incrementally tightening one side of spokes and similarly loosening the other side in order to centralise the rim to a 142mm axle frame. No additional expenditure will be required and is a fairly simple job. Additionally, this wheelset is compatible with both SRAM 11 spd and 12 spd groupsets aswell as Shimano 11 spd mountain / road and Shimano 12 spd road groupsets.

That makes the wheelset incredibly adaptable. The old XD freehubs are not compatible at all with SRAM 12 speed cassettes so my wheelset is a big upgrade. XD-R is certainly the way to go if you want to use a SRAM drivetrain in my opinion.

6 Bolt Disc Brake Hub. Comprises of 2 x Japanese EZO sealed bearings. SRAM XDR 11/12 spd compatible for Mountain Bike, Xplr and road cassettes.

Shimano HG compatible with Shimano 11 spd MTB / Road and Shimano 12 spd Road cassettes. 2.5mm spacer for rear brake rotor. 12mm x 135 thru axle for rear hub. 12mm x 142mm thru axle for rear hub. 2 x IRC Formula Pro Tubeless Tyres.

Spare DT Swiss Revolution spokes (Black) for front and rear wheels (labelled with lengths and which wheel they are suitable for). Dynamo Hub wiring connector clip (Shimano style). This is a fantastic endurance wheelset that is super quick, adaptable and strong. Please note this is a used wheelset so does have some marks from regular use.
